As the season officially gets underway, local organizations are set to hold craft fairs and holiday markets. Below is a list of events throughout Lake County.
Grayslake Holiday Market:
5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, downtown Grayslake. Caroling, crafts, holiday market, refreshments, carriage rides from 6-8 p.m. Sponsored by the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce, village of Grayslake, and The Oasis/Grayslake Youth Center. (847) 223-6888.
Lake County Fairgrounds Festival of Arts & Crafts Show:

North Suburban Woodcarvers demonstration and ornament sale:
10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28; noon-4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29 at Ela Area Public Library, 275 Mohawk Trail, Lake Zurich. Proceeds donated to the Shriners Hospital for Children. (847) 438-3433.
Mothers Club of Woodlands Academy Holiday Housewalk and Gift Boutique:
Houses open 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; boutique from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Wednesday Dec. 2, Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart, 760 W. Westleigh Road, Lake Forest. Admission to the boutique is free; admission to the housewalk and luncheon is $60 per person. A preview night boutique with a cash bar will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 1.
