Naperville Park Board president named master board member

Naperville Park District board President Mary Gibson received the Master Board Member award at a statewide conference.

A master board member is the highest level in the Illinois Association of Park Districts board member development program. Board members awarded this rank must complete educational programs, attend events, participate on committees and earn various commendations at the local, state and national levels.

“We are very proud of the effort President Gibson has put into education herself in the park district world during her tenure as board president,” Naperville Park District Executive Director Brad Wilson said.

The Naperville Park District also received third place for its quarterly digital program guide and tied for second place for overall table display in the agency showcase competition at the January conference hosted by the Illinois Association of Park Districts and the Illinois Park and Recreation Association.
