Moline man sentenced to life for fatal stabbing

ROCK ISLAND -- A judge has ruled that a Moline man will spend the rest of his life in prison for fatally stabbing his neighbor in April of last year.

Under the sentence handed down Wednesday in Rock Island, 36-year-old Eric Henry will serve life without any chance of parole.

Henry was convicted in early October of first degree murder for his role in the stabbing death of Katherine Pedigo.

Police said Pedigo was found facedown in her bathtub, with her hands bound behind her back with a scarf. She had multiple stab wounds on her chest, neck and back.

Another neighbor, 31-year-old Gustavo Dominguez, was also charged with murder in the crime, but he was found unfit to stand trial Monday and committed to a state mental health facility for treatment.
