Postseason Lost 67-51 to Oswego in Class 3A Oswego regional semifinal.

Key losses Stephanie Pogwizd, Brooke Frantzen.

Top returnees Jacqueline Cardona (so., G, 5-9); Blythe Nelson (sr., G, 5-7); Lauren Schweitzer (sr., F, 5-11).

Newcomers to watch Vivian Fitzgerald (sr., F, 5-11); Erin Traczek (jr., F, 5-9); Natalie Steinwart (jr., F, 5-10); Katilyn Rosa (so., C, 5-10).

Outlook After posting their most wins in five years, the Chargers look to take another bigger step forward under second-year coach Mark Fitzgerald, thanks to a sophomore team that won over 20 games last year and two transfers. Fitzgerald's daughter Vivian, a 5-11 forward, comes from St. Francis while 5-9 junior forward Erin Traczek moves from Mt. Assisi. "I look for our team to greatly improve in all categories this year," said Mark Fitzgerald. "We have improved in scoring ability, team height, strength, athletic ability and bench depth." The team is pushing an attitude of expecting to win. Look for a starting lineup of Cardona and Nelson in the backcourt and Fitzgerald, Steinwart and Rosa at forwards. Coach Fitzgerald points to the sophomore Cardona as the most talented athlete who can score and distribute the ball. This is Vivian Fitzgerald's first year playing basketball since her freshman year at St. Francis after she has been focusing on volleyball the past two seasons.
