Columnist gave Dobbs unfair rap

I have watched Lou Dobbs for years and feel the accusation by Mr. Navarrette that Dobbs is a Latino-phobe is wrong. Dobbs always made a distinction between legal and illegal Latino immigrants and only made critical remarks about the illegal ones.

I believe that 12 million to 20 million people is a very big invasion and one that has impacted us in a very negative way. Lou also always stated that the U.S. brings in 1 million legal immigrants every year. There is no other country that does that.

My father came here from Poland and learned English. It appears that the Latinos want to keep their culture and language, that is not the way to assimilate into a new country.

I have read most of Navarrette's columns and he generally makes no distinction between legal and illegal immigrants. He also never mentions the problems in Mexico with drugs and crime and how it is spilling across our borders.

I guess today you do not report the truth - you ignore it so as to be politically correct. We need more truth, but sometimes the truth hurts.
