Stop waffling on Afghanistan; pull out
The President spent part of Wednesday spouting lip service to our vets. Then on the same day announced that he does not accept any of the Afghanistan options, and will further delay making any decision on troops.
Mr. President, just pack it up, and move our troops out of the country. U.S. warriors are being killed at a record pace. Your hand-picked general, did the job you tasked him with - study the situation and report. This was going on four months ago, not to mention the two years of campaigning where you repeated that this was the right war, and you would fight it the "right way," and hunt down Bin Laden where ever he tried to hide.
Mr. President, just do our warriors a favor; just pack up and leave the country. You won't back up the troops on the ground. Don't commit to this halfheartedly; you will just kill more troops for nothing. You don't take it seriously and for sure your White House staff doesn't take it seriously when they dubbed the strategy "McChrystal Light." As a vet, I myself would have more respect for you if you just made a command decision and pulled out. At least it would be decisive.
