Sox and Cubs to square off in Vegas during spring training

The White Sox and the Cubs will play each other in two exhibition games next spring in Las Vegas.

The Chicago clubs will square off on Friday, March 12, and Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Cashman Field in Las Vegas.

The two teams are returning to Las Vegas for the second consecutive season. The Sox swept the pair of games from the Cubs last season before two sellout crowds at Cashman Field. The crosstown rivals set the all-time attendance record at Cashman Field during an exhibition game on April 3, 1993 (15,025).

The Cubs and White Sox will both feature split squads, and game times for the two Las Vegas exhibition games will be announced at a later date but tickets are available via the Cashman Field ticket office or by calling (702) 798-7825.

The White Sox full spring training schedule will be announced on Wednesday, and the remainder of the 2010 Cubs spring training schedule will be announced at a later date.
