2 hurt in Carpentersville crash

Two people were injured in a four car crash near Carpentersville late Wednesday afternoon.

Officials say a car rear-ended another vehicle, causing a chain-reaction crash at the intersection of Miller Road and Route 31 at about 5 p.m., according to Carpentersville Fire Department Battalion Chief John Skillman.

The two injured people were taken to Sherman Hospital in Elgin with non-life-threatening injuries, Skillman said.

Four other people were uninjured. The crash is under investigation by the Kane County sheriff's police.
