Grayslake man accused of molesting teen

Grayslake police say recently developed information led them to seize a man accused of molesting a girl from 2001 to 2003.

Tim T. Yeung, 49, of 931 Cambridge Drive in Grayslake, has been charged with predatory criminal sexual assault, criminal sexual assault and aggravated criminal sexual abuse, authorities said.

Yeung is expected to appear Thursday for a bond hearing in Lake County circuit court in Waukegan. Grayslake police Operations Cmdr. Matt McCutcheon said Yeung was arrested at his Cambridge Drive house about noon Tuesday.

McCutcheon said the victim is now 17. He said the case recently came to light after someone the victim was seeing professionally was required to report the alleged abuse to the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

In turn, said McCutcheon, DCFS quickly notified Grayslake police because agency officials learned Yeung was "very despondent." He said police arrested Yeung without incident.

McCutcheon said it's not believed there are other victims. However, he said, Grayslake police are investigating other aspects of the case with the Lake County state's attorney's office.

"It's horrible," McCutcheon said.

Yeung has been employed as an assembly worker for a medical products company in Lake County, police said.
