DuPage Co.

Sarah Langlas

Wheaton Warrenville South

The 5-foot-9 senior forward led the Tigers to a pair of DuPage Valley Conference victories. Langlas registered 14 points, 13 rebounds, 7 steals and 3 assists in a 37-36 win versus Naperville Central, then totaled 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in a 50-44 triumph at Glenbard East. She shot 58 percent from the field in the two games.

Jake Lindfors

Driscoll

The 6-foot-10 senior scored 51 points in two Suburban Catholic Conference wins. The Albany-bound center scored 26 points with 11 rebounds in a 59-54 win over Immaculate Conception. Then Lindfors got Driscoll back in the SCC race with 25 points, 16 rebounds and 3 blocks in a 48-45 win over St. Francis.

Lake Co.

Brittany Kucia

Round Lake

The three-year varsity starter does so many things well that coach Gary Edge says she doesn't necessarily have to score for his team to be successful. Kucia can score, though. The senior guard netted a career-high 19 points against Marengo, hitting six 3-pointers. She then had 11 points against Lakes, as the Panthers improved to 19-3.

Brandon Kunz

Lake Zurich

Hoping to rebound from a loss to Warren, the Bears got help from their best rebounder. Kunz had 14 points and 10 boards in Lake Zurich's 55-45 upset win over Lakes. The 6-foot-6 junior followed up with another double-double, collecting a season-high 24 points and 14 rebounds against Mundelein.

Dundee-Crown

Dundee-Crown's senior center had a monster week, scoring 20 points and grabbing a career-high 16 rebounds in a win over Crystal Lake South, then coming back with 19 points and 10 boards in a victory over Woodstock.

Josh Dix

St. Edward

The junior guard enjoyed a breakthrough weekend by scoring 49 points in 2 games. He tallied 23 points in a 6-point defeat against Marian Central, and came back the next night to score 26 points, including six 3-pointers, to spearhead a 58-41 victory over Immaculate Conception. The win was St. Edward's first victory of the Suburban Catholic Conference season.

Northwest suburban

Allison Mocchi

Buffalo Grove

Within a period of 24 hours, Allison helped lead the Bison to a pair of wins, including one of their most impressive of the season, 74-58 over South Bend Washington, the top-ranked Class 4A team in Indiana. In that McDonald's Shootout showdown, she had 19 points and 16 rebounds along with 6 assists, 5 steals and 2 blocked shots. One night earlier, she collected 13 points (three 3-pointers), 5 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 assists and a blocked shot in a 48-20 win over Rolling Meadows.

Deron Guyton

Leyden

Leyden has definitely found its go-to-Guyton in the 6-foot-3 junior. The team's leading scorer came through in all facets with 20 points on 9-for-16 shooting, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in a 50-47 West Suburban Gold victory over Addison Trail.

Kiara Towles

West Aurora

The sophomore netted 34 points in West Aurora's three wins, including a career-high 18 points and 19 rebounds in a victory over Oswego. She added 12 points in the DVC win against Wheaton North, which was the Falcons' first conference loss of the year.

Jonathan DeMoss

St. Charles North

The junior scored 18 of his game-high 27 points in the second half to help the North Stars erase a 14-point deficit and defeat rival St. Charles East, 75-64. DeMoss added 13 points in St. Charles North's 69-49 win over Larkin.
