Downers Grove man charged in burglaries

A Downers Grove man has been charged with residential burglary, attempted residential burglary and possession of burglary tools, authorities said Wednesday.

Devin Wisniewski, 24, of the 5700 block of Woodward Ave., was charged in connection with a Tuesday burglary in an unincorporated area in the 5600 block of Pershing Road.

DuPage sheriff's deputies responded after receiving a report of a man walking between homes carrying a television. The sheriff's K-9 unit led deputies to Wisniewski's home where they recovered a stolen TV, electronics and a mountain bike, authorities said.

Wisniewski was linked to a similar incident in the 5700 block of Woodward Ave. He was being held Wednesday on $200,000 bond in DuPage County jail.
