Ex-Ill. predator charged with child porn

OMAHA, Neb. -- An Omaha man convicted a decade ago of indecent solicitation of a child has been charged with possessing child pornography.

Theodore Manos pleaded not guilty Monday in federal court to possession charges, as well as charges of receipt and distribution of child pornography. A grand jury indicted the 53-year-old Manos on three counts.

Authorities say Manos had as many as 600 pieces of child pornography.

In 1999, he was convicted of indecent solicitation of a child in Illinois. Because of that conviction, he could spend the rest of his life in prison if convicted of the child-porn charges.

A judge in the case told Manos he won't decide bail for Manos until he arranges to live somewhere other than with his girlfriend, who has a 12-year-old child.
