Hersey's annual fashion show takes 'Idol' theme

The John Hersey High School Choral Department will bring its fashion sense and finest voices to the runway for the 11th annual Fashion Show and Luncheon extravaganza, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8 at the Cotillion Ballroom, 360 S. Creekside Drive in Palatine.

One of the major fundraisers for the choral program, "Almost Idol" (this year's theme) is sure to please all tastes. In addition to students and parents modeling the latest fashions from a wide variety of area retail stores, there will be performances of pop music, many of which have been sung by past "American Idol" contestants. Other features will be a silent auction and raffle. A delicious dinner choice of chicken or pasta will be served. Choice of entree will be made when tickets are purchased.

Reservations for this enjoyable afternoon of fun, food and music are required by Nov. 2 and can be made by contacting Joann Langley at (847) 718-4882 or joann.langley@d214.org. Tickets are $38 per person or $350 for a table of 10.
