NCH fashion show does its job
Northwest Community Hospital's 51st annual fashion show and luncheon, "Small Miracles," held a reception, holiday boutique, silent auction and raffle prizes, but mostly it raised money.
The proceeds of "Small Miracles" will help the hospital build a new, state-of-the-art Intensive Care Nursery for the 400 premature and critically ill infants treated at each year at the Arlington Heights hospital.
Under construction and expected to open in the spring, the 16-bed unit will be twice the size of the current nursery. The design, more spacious and with softer lighting, is meant to offer more privacy and comfort for families.
