Fire damages Bensenville building
A fire caused about $100,000 in damage Thursday to a building on the 200 block of Beeline Drive in Bensenville, officials said. Firefighters responded to Capital Auto Body shortly before noon after the fire broke out in a spray booth for painting cars, Batallion Chief Don Tessler said. It took firefighters about 20 minutes to get the flames under control, and no injuries were reported. Tessler said the body shop occupied one of 11 units in the building. The fire's cause was still under investigation late Thursday, but Tessler said it was not being considered suspicious.
