HE Parks Welcomes New General Manager of Ice Operations

The Hoffman Estates Park District (HE Parks) is pleased to introduce the new General Manager of Ice Operations, Stan Dubicki. He has been working in ice rinks for many years and will oversee the hockey leagues, hockey instructional program, and figure skating program for the park district at its Triphahn Center and Ice Arena. The ice arena was named "Best Ice Arena" in 2018 by the readers of the Daily Herald.

Dubicki joined HE Parks on July 9 and along with his new role his is also currently working as goaltending coach for the Chicago Wolves, where he has been for the past 10 years. Prior to joining the Chicago Wolves, he worked for five years at Wendell Young's Goaltending Academy. He has a bachelor's degree in Health Science from Brockport State University. He lives in Schiller Park with his wife Carla and daughter Nicole. In his spare time, he loves being outdoors riding his bike, walking his dog Pancake and spending time with family and friends.

HE Parks' Hockey leagues include Wolverines Girls, Coyotes Mites, and travel hockey, and the Northwest Hockey League offers team play. Hockey programs include training the park district's first-class off-ice training center. Off-ice training enables players to drastically improve speed, stick skills, shooting, accuracy, release, secrets to scoring, checking skills, using video, benchmark testing, and synthetic ice.

Hockey instructional lessons include starter learn to skate, hockey skills and the popular Jr. Wolf Pack in-house league two-day programs. Hockey equipment is provided for beginners enrolled in instructional lessons.

HE Parks' offers figure skating lessons year-round starting at age three through the United Skates' Figure Skating's Learn to Skate curriculum. Class fees include skate rental, if needed, and a membership in U.S. Learn to Skate.

The park district is now accepting registrations for fall programs that begin in September. Registration can be taken online at heparks.org or in person at one of the park district's facilities.
