2 dead in domestic dispute in central Ill.

DANVILLE -- Two people are dead in the central Illinois city of Danville in what authorities are calling a domestic dispute.

Vermilion County Coroner Peggy Johnson says 32-year-old Jessica Nelk and 21-year-old Johnnie Webb II died Saturday night. Both were from Danville.

Danville police are investigating the incident as a possible murder-suicide.

Police were called to Nelk's apartment about 8:15 p.m. Saturday and were told that a man with a knife was holding a woman inside.

When police forced their way in, they found both Nelk and Webb lying in different rooms. Nelk was pronounced dead at the scene, and Webb died in an area emergency room.

Police say Nelk and Webb knew each other but would not say how.
