New CD features 12 unreleased Jackson 5 recordings
DETROIT -- The Jackson 5 was one of the greatest in a long line of legendary Motown acts.
Now, 40 years after their single, "I Want You Back," debuted, the brothers from Gary, Ind., are returning with a CD of unreleased recordings.
"I Want You Back! Unreleased Masters" is out Nov. 10 and features a dozen unique alternate versions of well-known hits, and as Universal Music Enterprises puts it in a news release: "near classics and should-have-been-hits."
The disc also includes Stevie Wonder's "Buttercup," a collaboration that was announced in 1974 but never materialized.
Ahead of the album's release, a single called "That's How Love Is," is available on iTunes starting Tuesday. It was mixed by original Motown engineer Russ Terrana.
