Elmhurst cops arrest 2 in heroin bust

Elmhurst police recovered 21 bags of heroin and arrested two people on charges of unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, authorities said Friday.

Charged in connection with the incident were Charles L. Pass, 42, of 104 S. 47th St,, Bellwood, and Stacey M. Balinski, 27, of 2123 W. Wellington, Chicago. Police said they set up surveillance Sept. 29 in an area where they believed drugs were being delivered.

Pass and Balinski were taken into custody when they arrived to make their delivery, police said. Both were taken to DuPage County jail in Wheaton.
