Arlington Hts. artists open studios to the public for new art walk event

The Arlington Heights Historical Museum has announced a new event, "Art Around The Town," which will be held from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 15. The cost is $5 for Arlington Heights residents and $8 nonresidents. The event is open to those 16 yrs and older.

Ten artists who live in Arlington Heights will open their studios to the public for one afternoon only. Take this opportunity to meet local artists, tour their studios and purchase completed art.

Participating artists include: Len DiCicco, Will Hamm, Eileen Jorgensen, Anne Kauff, Bobbie Puttrich, Steve Puttrich, Lynnea Semasko, Valerie Stanaszek, Monica Synnesvedt, Kate Tully.

The tour begins at the Arlington Heights Historical Museum's Heritage Gallery, 112 W. Fremont St., on the Museum campus. Tickets can be purchased beginning at 12:30 p.m. at the Heritage Gallery. Participants will receive a map and information sheet directing them to the participating studios, but will need to provide their own transportation. Refreshments and restrooms will be available at the museum.

Those interested can preregister through the Arlington Heights Park District's Fall Program Guide at ahpd.org or purchase tickets the day of the event. The event will take place rain or shine.
