Geneva leads All-State selections

Geneva and Aurora Christian have been the class of the area football teams this fall with a combined 24-0 record, and they were rewarded with the most members on the Coaches Association's All-State team.

Geneva's Cory Hofstetter, Michael Ratay and Frank Boenzi all made all-state in Class 7A, joined by Wes Allen from St. Charles East and Jake Juriga from St. Charles North. The Saints' Pat Friel earned honorable mention.

In Class 4A, both Aurora Christian's Jordan Roberts and Matt Morse were selected all-state. Batavia quarterback Jordan Coffey made the 6A team, and his favorite receiver Erich Zeddies was selected honorable mention all-state.
