Downstate man dies in lawn tractor accident

MICHAEL -- Authorities in southwestern Illinois' Calhoun County say a man was killed when a lawn tractor he was riding overturned, pinning him underneath.

Investigators say 63-year-old Tom Zipprich of Michael died Wednesday night at a hospital, shortly after the accident.

Coroner Larry Alexander says Zipprich asphyxiated.

The sheriff's department and the coroner are investigating.
