Brees, Peterson Week 1's superstars

Week 1 superstar

With apologies to Adrian Peterson (180 yards, 3 TDs), we have to give the superstar award to Saints QB Drew Brees, who looked like he was playing at the Rookie level in Madden football. Brees won fantasy games all by himself with a 358-yard, 6-TD, 1-INT performance. It helps that the opponent was the hapless Lions, but Brees owners can look forward to a plethora of points all season long.

Week 1 weakling

This award nearly went to the Bears' Jay Cutler, who threw 4 interceptions, but the biggest bust had to be Houston's Matt Schaub, so absorbing a 166-yard, 1-INT stinker is tough to swallow. Next week things won't get any easier at Tennessee, so you may want to explore other options ... if you have any.
