Draw with Salt Lake gives Fire share of 1st

SANDY, Utah -- Jamison Olave scored in the 72nd minute to rally Real Salt Lake to a 1-1 draw against the Chicago Fire on Saturday night.

While Salt Lake (9-9-7) is tied with Toronto FC for the last MLS playoff spot, Chicago (10-6-9) moved into a tie with Columbus atop the Eastern Conference.

Olave outraced a trio of Chicago players to latch onto a lead ball from Andy Williams and sent a low right-footed shot inside the right post.

The Fire jumped out to a 1-0 lead when Chris Rolfe slotted the ball past the left side of Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando for a goal in the 44th minute.

Marco Pappa set the play in motion when he lofted a cross to Rolfe near the penalty spot. Rolfe jumped high to snag the ball and brought it down cleanly between a pair of Salt Lake defenders. From there, he flicked a line drive past Rimando.
