Impeachment argument devoid of substance

If Fen Lind of Huntley in his/her letter to the editor Sept. 12 thought he or she was presenting an argument in support of impeaching President Obama, then I think he or she failed. As any high school freshman would know, you have to back up your argument with why you feel your statement is true and be specific.

For example, what did the president do to put us in "imminent danger?" Why do you think he is un-American, treasonous, an "autocratic elitist" or mentally unfit?

Are you bracing yourself for some kind of government takeover in health care? Do you believe the rants of Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh? Again, let me remind you that, when posing an argument, it's helpful to cite your source.

If people like you are representative of the citizenry of "the most powerful nation on earth" then we are losing ground. That's why it is helpful when our president offers a pep talk to the nation's children, encouraging them to stay in school, work hard and be self-responsible.

Go ahead, take the hysteria that overrides your reason and join the Tea Party Patriots. And don't forget your gun.
