Scouting Toronto FC @ Chicago Fire
When: 7:30 p.m. today at Toyota Park.
TV: Channel 50.
Scouting Toronto FC: If the playoffs started today, Toronto FC (9-10-7, 34 points) would not be in them. The Fire gets its first look at new Toronto acquisition Julian de Guzman. He joins a central midfield that already has Dwayne De Rosario (10 goals) and Amado Guevara. Goalkeeper Stefan Frei is a possible rookie of the year.
Scouting the Fire: There's still time for the Fire (10-6-10, 40 points). Columbus is still only 3 points ahead for first place in the East, but after this game the Fire only has three left. Does Peter Lowry have 2 more goals in him? Cuauhtemoc Blanco might not play due to a hamstring strain.
Next game: at Los Angeles Galaxy, Friday.
