Outlook The Knights hope to start coach Martha Kelly's fourth season on a high note by competing for the Lyons Thanksgiving Tournament Championship before heading into conference. Among the key players back for the Knights is all-area volleyball player Rachel Hunt, who has proved to be a scoring threat inside. "We are hoping Rachel helps us both offensively and defensively," Kelly said. "She does a good job reading shooters and blocking shots. And we're expecting good things from Sarah (Hunt), too." The Hunts and Glennon are returning starters. "Lexi is starting for the third straight year," Kelly said. "She is probably one of the best defenders in the conference." Winans begins her third season on the varsity. "She'll step into the starting lineup and should start contributing right away," Kelly said. The Knights also hope to finish as one of the best teams in the conference, which means competing with top-ranked Wheeling and Elk Grove. Kelly said her girls are looking forward to a tough schedule with nonconference games against Libertyville and Stevenson and the addition of the McDonald's Shootout.
