GOP wouldn't let this pass if their guy was in charge
For the past eight years, many Americans disagreed with the policies of the Bush administration. I don't recall anyone every yelling out, "You lie!" to the president when he spoke to the members of Congress. I also don't recall anyone bringing a gun to a town-hall meeting where the president was speaking. It would not have been tolerated. The same goes for goons disrupting town hall meetings. People not allowing their children to hear a message from the president to students telling them to work hard and stay in school was ridiculous.
What has happened to the party of Ronald Reagan? They have held themselves up as above the level of liberal thinking individuals. This kind of behavior should not be encouraged or lauded. The chipping away at the office of the president, no matter who is in it is un-American in my view. If the shoe was on the other foot, there would be an outcry from the right.
