Minnesota suspends McKinley, Dandridge for 2 games

MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota defensive end Cedric McKinley has been suspended for the next two games.

Gophers coach Tim Brewster said Monday that backup safety Tim Dandridge was also suspended for the upcoming games against Wisconsin and Purdue for an unspecified violation of team rules and policies.

McKinley has 11 tackles, three for loss, one sack, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries. He has started all four games on Minnesota's all-senior defensive line.

Seniors Derrick Onwuachi and Ray Henderson are the backup ends. Onwuachi is coming back from a knee injury suffered on the first day of fall practice.

Dandridge is a second-string sophomore, behind starter Kim Royston.
