Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, Sept. 18-20, in Colorado

TELLURIDE, Colo. -- Joe Cocker, Bonnie Raitt, Taj Mahal, Anders Osborne and many more performers will be taking part in the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, Sept. 18-20, in Telluride Town Park, an outdoor venue with a backdrop of 13,000-foot mountain peaks.

The festival offers blues, rock, gospel and soul performances, Colorado microbrews, food and craft vendors and children's activities. Artists include BonTaj Roulet, Vieux Farka Toure, Umphrey's McGee, Saint Jude, Jackie Greene, Xavier Rudd, Otis Taylor's African Orchestra, Jason Ricci & New Blood, Ruthie Foster, Super Chikan and the Fighting Cocks, Ryan Shaw, Carolyn Wonderland, The Lee Boys, JP Soars & the Red Hots, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real and Aftergrass.

Late night shows will be held at local juke joints in town, where visitors will also find after-hours jams.

A tasting with more than 150 beers from more than 50 microbreweries is scheduled for Saturday, noon-3:30 p.m. on festival grounds.

Tickets are $55 for Friday or Sunday passes, $60 for Saturday, and $155 for three-days. Tickets for the nighttime juke joints are $25. Festival camping is available for $40 per person. Tickets can be purchased online at www.tellurideblues.com.
