Help us celebrate early learning efforts

As the senior vice president of Elgin Day Care Center, a program of Kids Hope United, I have witnessed just how important early-learning programs are.

Children who attend high-quality early-learning programs are more likely to succeed in school, graduate and do well in life. By investing in the education of our young, we are ensuring they will have bright futures.

Elgin Day Care Center is pleased to announce it is celebrating the Week of the Young Child April 14-18. Sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), it is an annual celebration spotlighting the importance of early education and honoring the teachers and organizations making a positive difference in the lives of children.

We will host special events that will bring children, parents, teachers and the community together. Additionally, we encourage the community to support early-learning programs by promoting early-literacy programs and working to ensure our public policies support early learning for all children.
