Work for consensus on health care plan
Our government's approach to health care reform appears similar to the knee-jerk reactions that resulted in the Iraq war and the stimulus packages. Both were done in haste with little debate.
I don't think we need an "Obama" plan, nor "Democratic' or 'Republican' plans. We need a comprehensive plan that will be embraced by the health care industry and consumer watchdog organizations.
If it takes significant time (a couple years) to gather the necessary data and come to consensus, then we'll be much better off long term vs. a plan based on the opines of politicians who's best interest is in providing pork to get themselves re-elected.
Let's take the time to get this right the first time.
