Jailer accused of exposing self to female inmate
HARRISBURG -- A southern Illinois jailer is accused of exposing himself to a female inmate.
Saline County prosecutors have charged 25-year-old Patrick McDonald of Harrisburg with one count of official misconduct. Investigators contend McDonald exposed himself to an inmate in the jail's laundry room.
Prosecutor Michael Henshaw alleges the misconduct happened last month.
McDonald had been with the jail for about five years but resigned within days of the alleged offense.
He's free on bond and scheduled for a court appearance in Harrisburg on Aug. 31.
The felony count is punishable by up to five years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines.
McDonald doesn't have a listed home telephone number and couldn't be reached for comment.
