Reveal true cost of Tour of Elk Grove

Mayor Johnson, how much is YOUR bike race really costing the taxpayers of Elk Grove Village? Being a long time resident of Elk Grove, (40 years) I've seen a lot of growth and prosper, many years in the black with the finances, but lately I'm wondering what's happening with Mayor Johnson and his board members. I see village workers paving the streets, on the bike route. I see village workers trimming trees, on the bike route. I see village workers doing landscaping, on the bike route.

You can't tell me that the sponsors cover all the cost of these extra details, and what about the cleanup and the time the village police officers put in? Come on, Mayor Johnson, you got your crosswalk pavers, that need constant maintenance. You got your clock tower, that's not even on a main street. You threw a lot of money away on the O'Hare expansion. What is this really costing the village taxpayers?
