American students need to be bilingual
Should Elgin schools enforce students learning a second language, and becoming bilingual starting from first grade? I believe that Elgin should at very least have an opportunity for students to learn a secondary language fluently. America's need for a bilingual population is becoming more and more prevalent since the beginning of this great nation. The benefits that being bilingual would bring outweigh the negatives of this motion.
The next generation will have better opportunities for careers alone if they are taught another language besides English. Personally, I wish that I was taught another primary language besides just English. I had the opportunity to take language classes in high school, but nothing before that time. It would overall be a huge step forward for our nation to make this motion a reality.
