DuPage County briefs
Navistar funds approved:
The DuPage County Board approved spending $1 million to buy forest preserve land adjacent an office complex in Lisle that Warrenville-based Navistar wants to move to. County officials cited a deal with Navistar that would add 2,000 jobs as the rationale behind the expenditure. Lisle's village board also agreed to spend $500,000 to help purchase the land that includes roadways that Navistar wants. The land once belonged to communications technology giant Alcatel-Lucent, before it was sold to the forest preserve a few years ago.
