Hanover Park police seek hit-and-run driver
Hanover Park police are asking the public for information on a hit-and-run accident that seriously injured a 9-year-old girl. Police said the girl was riding her bike at 6:42 p.m. Tuesday around the bike path at Walnut Avenue and Catalpa Street when she was struck by a vehicle, possibly a pickup truck. The driver left the scene without stopping. Interim Police Chief David Webb said the girl was taken to St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates with serious injuries.
