Lake Villa Days runs this weekend in Lehmann Park

Lake Villa Days returns this weekend to Lehmann Park, off Cedar Avenue in downtown Lake Villa.

The festival runs from 5 p.m. to midnight Thursday and Friday, Aug. 6 and Aug. 7; 11 a.m. to midnight Saturday, Aug. 8; and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 9. The festival features rides, games, bingo, music, food and beverages, and more.

Highlighting the fest are the water fights. Firefighter water fights take place on Saturday, Aug. 8, with registration at 5 p.m. and the competition at 5:30 p.m. On Sunday, Aug. 9, women's registration is at 11 a.m., with the water fights at noon. Men's registration and fights follow the women's contests.

Admission to the fest is free. Proceeds benefit the Lake Villa Fire Department. For more information, call (847) 356-2525 or visit lake-villa.org.
