Matthew Mainan, 11, of Wheaton, gets a bird's eye view of the Schaumburg area on Saturday from a 1968 U.S. Army helicopter OH-6A that saw action in Vietnam and was reconditioned in 2001. The helicopter rides from the Schaumburg Regional Airport were part of Mayor Al Larson's Aviation Celebration to raise money for the Woodfield Area Children's Organization. The restored helicopter is now owned by AM Air Service fleet that provides Chicagoland helicopter rides and excursions. The event continues from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today at the airport, 905 W.
