Disabled train snarls traffic around Mundelein

A disabled freight train blocked two busy intersections in the Mundelein area, police said Wednesday.

The Canadian National train blocked the Route 60 and Butterfield Road crossings about 3:30 p.m., authorities said.

The Canadian National train shut down the Route 60 and Butterfield Road crossings in the middle of the afternoon for less than an hour before it moved on, authorities said.
