State looking for new operator of closed resort
FINDLAY -- The Illinois Department of Natural Resources is asking for proposals for a new operator for a central Illinois resort that's been closed by court order because of mold.
The agency has issued a request for proposals from those interested in running the Eagle Creek Resort and Conference Center, which is along Lake Shelbyville near Findlay in Shelby County.
The IDNR will host a meeting Sept. 9 at the resort and will give interested parties until Nov. 12 to submit a proposal. The goal is to select a new operator by the end of the year.
