Naperville underage drinking party busted
Police broke up an underage drinking party at a Naperville home where the homeowners were on vacation.
All 11 partygoers were issued citations as a result of the investigation.
The owners of a house in West Highlands neighborhood had told their 19-year-old son, Amir K. Alsharifi, that he was not allowed to stay in the home or even visit while they were out of town, police said.
They owners of the home placed a vacation watch on the house on Tupelo Avenue so police would keep an extra eye on the property.
A police officer on patrol saw activity at the home that was supposed to be empty at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, said Naperville Sgt. Gregg Bell. Instead, they found Alsharifi hosting a party in the house with 10 guests.
Police issued more than two dozen tickets to Alsharifi and his guests. All were cited for criminal trespass to land, Bell said. All but two were ticketed for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.
