Man charged after DUI stop in Itasca

An Itasca man was charged with defacing an identification mark of a firearm and unlawful sale or purchase of a firearm after police say they found two handguns in his vehicle during a DUI stop.

Michael DeMarco, 27, was arrested at 1:26 a.m. Thursday after police searched his vehicle and found the handguns - including one without a serial number. DeMarco was also charged with DUI, improper lane usage and failure to signal, police said.
