It would be wise to review Constitution

We recently celebrated the 120th birthday of the Constitution. May we all devote a few minutes to recall the Constitution and its guarantees to all Americans.

It was written as law to ensure the inalienable rights noted in the Declaration of Independence. Not only does it define three equal branches of government, it was amended two years later to include the Bill of Rights. Today this venerable document and what it represents has been co-opted by some to defend a narrow perspective, and it has been interpreted by some to mean something other than its stated purposes.

I suggest we take a short review of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights to remind ourselves that they have served us well over time, as they secure liberty and justice to all citizens.
