Illinois needs a fiscal conservative
When everything is said and done, the economic calamity will be termed as an attempt to redistribute the wealth of this nation. It sounds great to tax high earners to pay for those who may not be able to afford it, but does it work?
In New York, Mayor Bloomberg wanted to soak the "rich" but the financial analysts offered a caveat. The New York area has over 8 million residents; however, 40,000 citizens provide 60 percent of the operating budget. If New York loses 25 percent of the 40,000, New York can raise taxes and never achieve the funding to support social programs.
Another analogy is that there are too few people now pulling the wagon, most people are now in the wagon with no intent to help pull the wagon. As more and more people get into the wagon, the wagon begins to go backward and eventually smashes into a concrete wall of reality which is, economic collapse.
Illinois has one alternative and that is to elect a young, charismatic politician, Matt Murphy of Palatine. Matt has a proven track record in the state senate, he is a fiscal conservative and understands state government.
