Naperville studying roadway

Naperville plans to conduct a feasibility study to evaluate the potential for a grade separated pedestrian crossing at the intersection of 75th Street and Olympus Drive near Lincoln Junior High School. The study is slated for completion in late fall and is being performed in response to safety concerns. The study will include identifying the scope of work, developing a detailed cost estimate, determining the feasibility of construction and ascertaining the potential for securing grant funding for a grade separated pedestrian crossing at the intersection.

Soccer registration on

Fox Valley Park District is accepting registration for the Kickers Soccer Club Saturday Youth League that begins play in the fall. The league is for children in kindergarten through sixth grade, with children grouped by age on coed teams. Games are played on Saturdays, Sept. 12 to Oct. 24, at the Stuart Sports Complex on Jericho Road in Aurora. Fees are $50 to park district residents, $65 for nonresidents, $125 per family of three or more for residents, and $170 per family of three or more for nonresidents. The registration deadline is Aug. 15. Registration forms are available at any of the park district's community centers or may be downloaded at kickerssoccerclub.org.
