Aug. 1

Rubber Duck Fundraiser: 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, Mundelein Park District's Barefoot Bay Aquatic Center, 1461 N. Midlothian Road, Mundelein. The Rubber Duck race which benefits the Mundelein Parks Foundation. For all ages. Cost to sponsor a duck is $5; admission is free. For information, call (847) 566-0650, or visit mundeleinparks.org.

Beth Judea Rummage sale: 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2, Beth Judea Social Hall, Route 83 and Hilltop Road, Long Grove. The Sisterhood of Congregation Beth Judea will host its annual rummage sale. (847) 634-0777.

LHS Poms Squad Car Wash: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, Ace Hardware, 155 Peterson Road, Libertyville. The Libertyville High School Varsity and Junior Varsity Pom Pon Squads will hold a car wash. All proceeds will benefit the poms squads. Suggested donation is $5.

FOCUS Student Car Wash: 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 8, Great Lakes Credit Union, 2525 Green Bay Road, North Chicago. It Can Be Done: Mondays and Tuesdays, Francesca's Intimo, 293 E Illinois Road, Lake Forest. Francesca's Intimo has agreed to donate 15 percent of patrons' bills to the nonprofit organization It Can Be Done! on Mondays and Tuesdays if the customer mentions the organization to a restaurant employee. The proceeds will benefit the purchasing of a drill to construct wells throughout the 12 villages of Uru on Mount Kilimanjaro, providing the 30,000 people living there with freshwater.
