FBI searches for Ill. man convicted in 2003 murder

The FBI is searching for a 28-year-old Chicago man who's been convicted in a 2003 murder.

The FBI says Jesus Sanchez was convicted in absentia of killing a 25-year-old man in what appears to be a gang-related murder. Sanchez was sentenced to 27 years in prison.

Sanchez is believed to be a member of the Latin Saints street gang. His last known address was on Chicago's Southwest Side.

The FBI says he's known on the street as "Shamu" and "Jessie."

The case is being investigated by the FBI's violent crimes task force, which includes special agents, Chicago police detectives and Cook County Sheriff's office investigators.
