Use cameras for true law enforcement

It would be nice if the red-light cameras were to be used for law enforcement. That is, the cameras could be loaded or downloaded each day with the current list of stolen, non-insured or non-licensed vehicles. The camera would span each passing vehicle until it captured a match with the daily file. It would then alert the law-enforcement officers in the area with an overview of the vehicle and the direction it was headed.

It could also be used for the daily APB but would require some sort of remote linking to implement this feature. This system will be able to capture every scofflaw who is truly making our roads and highways unsafe while increasing our insurance rates. It will bring us forward to those days where technology and police are after the bad guys.
