Epworth UMC: Epworth United Methodist Church, 37W040 Highland Ave., Elgin, offers vacation Bible school for children of all ages from 6 to 8:30 p.m. the week of July 6-10. The theme for this year is "Studio Go. Game Show." At "Studio GO. Game Show," vacation Bible school kids will participate in the excitement of a real game show, experience God's word in the "Primetime Bible Challenge," meet real-life servants at the Service Showcase, plus explore and create through crafts, snacks, and games. Fox Valley Baptist: Fox Valley Baptist Church in East Dundee presents its vacation Bible school, "Dino Detectives: Digging For Truth in God's Word" from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. July 12-16. All children and teens age 2 to eighth grade are invited. Each night of "Dino Detectives" focuses on a story from the Bible regarding creation, along with fun facts and activities involving dinosaurs. There will exciting games, age-appropriate lesson centered crafts, and delicious snacks. There will also be songs, skits, contests, and special appearances from Griffin Christian School's "His Hands" puppet team. Each day, kids will think of places and situations where they might see God in action - or ways they can be a God Sighting. They will even receive a "Watch for God" wristband as a special reminder to wear throughout the week. Congregational Church of Algonquin: The Congregational Church of Algonquin, 109 Washington St., hosts the vacation Bible school "Camp EDGE" from 9 to 11:45 a.m. July 27-31. They are inviting all children age 3 to having finished fifth grade to be a part of "Camp EDGE" "Experience + Discover God Everywhere!" Extreme Bible treks will introduce them to Bible characters who have experienced and discovered God in many ways. Kids will learn an EDGE Pledge with each story. Your children will extend their learning through every activity: making their own special memories at the Art Apex, singing new music at Music Max, experiencing science activities at Exploration Ridge, participating in recreational activities at the Rex Plex, and enjoying snacks at the Snack Express.
